Quarry Bank Mill ready for Spooky Tours

Prepare to be scared!

Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October.

Tours are every 15 minutes and last 45 minutes.

1st tour: 6:30pm, last tour 9:30pm.

If you’re looking for something truly terrifying to do this Halloween then make sure you book tickets to Quarry Bank Mill’s long-running, and much loved, Spooky Tours!

Quarry Bank Mill is steeped in over 200 years of fascinating history and has it’s own scary stories to tell, including ghastly accidents, runaway children, and mysterious disappearances, making it the perfect setting for a real fright fest!

This is a tour of Quarry Bank Mill like no other. This year we have invited Director Andrew Fillis and students from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wigan to put together a ghost story, based on the Mill’s fascinating history, to accompany the Spooky Tour.

The ALRA students will be transformed into devilish and ghoulish characters that will shock and surprise visitors, lurking in wait to scare unsuspecting family members, ensuring that you won’t leave the Mill without being determined to sleep with the lights on!

“If you don’t jump at least once we’d be very surprised,” said Rachel Whalley, the Visitor Experience Assistant.

“We’ve run this event before and people keep coming back so it seems they really do enjoy being frightened.”

Booking is essential as tickets are running out quickly due to the events’ popularity. Tickets are £7 and you can book now by calling 01625 445845.

It might prove too scary for some under 12s so parents are urged to book with caution for the tours.
